Enter New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s darkly beautiful world of archangels and immortal power, as a pact is sealed between two souls bound by blood, stirred by desire, and driven by vengeance…

With wings of midnight and an affinity for shadows, Jason courts darkness. But now, with the Archangel Neha’s consort lying murdered in the jewel-studded palace that was his prison and her rage threatening cataclysmic devastation, Jason steps into the light, knowing he must unearth the murderer before it is too late.

Earning Neha’s trust comes at a price—Jason must tie himself to her bloodline through the Princess Mahiya, a woman with secrets so dangerous, she trusts no one. Least of all an enemy spymaster.

With only their relentless hunt for a violent, intelligent killer to unite them, Jason and Mahiya embark on a quest that leads to a centuries-old nightmare… and to the dark storm of an unexpected passion that threatens to drench them both in blood.

[My Indonesian Review : Goodreads]

Finally finished read the English version. Felt dizzy coz I'm not used reading English novel in two and a half days. Hahahahahah...

So, here are my actor and actress whom I thought will fit to play the main characters role:
Mahiya by Dia Mirza

Jason by Joe Manganiello
Well, to be honest half of this book the plot felt really slow for me. Boring. They're just pursuit the serial killer. The romance not as hot as Raphael and Elena, but pretty steamy ^ ^

The other half is the contradict of the first half, it's exciting! So many events that made me want to scream "Whattt?" All thumbs up for Nalini Singh's story ideas.

Yes, this part got 5 stars because it really made me can't suspect who the killer was and why Neha chose Jason to prosecute the killers. But again, why Nalini Singh made the story perfunctory for antagonistic character (Neha)? Hmphhhh ... [(spoiler)I hope Neha dead and the killer was also dead, anyway they were alive and only got severed injuries *sigh* (hide spoiler)]

It's the characteristic of NS's books which is dark and heart-broken past. Jason's past made me sad, made my eyes glistened, indeed. Luckily he met Mahiya who gave all her love to him. The quote that I love:

“I can’t give you what you want,” he repeated, some unknown thing tearing and ripping inside him at the thought of having to sever his connection to her, when it was the first time in his life he’d trusted even a part of himself to a lover.

A soft smile. “Did I make any demands, hmm?” Lifting her free hand, she ran her fingers along his jaw. “I have so much love inside me, Jason. So much. And I have never been allowed to shower it on anyone—no one has wanted it. Let me stretch the wings of my heart with you.”

He could feel his fingers tightening on her wrist, forced himself to loosen his hold. “Will it be enough to love and not be loved?” he asked, knowing it was a brutal question. “To give and never receive?”

Her smile grew impossibly more luminous. “You have no idea what you give me.”
So, for the whole book I'll definitely gave 4 stars. Moreover, with a very touching ending ^^

Next Nalini Singh will be back to tell Raphael and Elena. Hopefully this time there is to do more with Caliane. Curious. Li Juan too. Hmmm ...

But among all the Guild Hunter series will be written by Nalini Singh, who made the most curious are Illium and Aodhan. Venom's also (I think he will be mate with Sorrow = P)

There's one thing I forgot to write in my Indonesian review, about Dmitri and Honor. Oh. My. God. I love Dmitri so much. He's so sweet. His words and love to Honor made me melt away...

Guild Hunter series:
#1 Angels' Blood
#2 Archangel's Kiss
#3 Archangel's Consort
#4 Archangel's Blade
#5 Archangel's Storm
...still continued...
